Some other things that can cause similar symptoms...B-12 deficiency, hyper/ hypothyroidism, abnormal blood calcium levels, low potassium, and adrenal gland issues. I'm sure there are more, but these are the ones that my Drs have targeted..-If you should ever have an "attack" that causes chest pain, dizziness, and shortness of breath and you don't know why, get evaluated by a Paramedic or an emergency room ASAP. If the rapid rate can be caught on a heart monitor, it may give the Dr more information to work with and may uncover what is going on...Hang in there...By the way, when I had thyroiditis, I was placed on a beta blocker med to control heart rate spikes. It worked very nicely and I was able to go off of it when the thyroid had calmed down...~MM
Yes, I've had diarrhea for 2 days now. No appetite at all. I had some leg twitches last night that made my legs jerk. I can't decide if I should take an Ativan or not. My doc only gave me 10 to take as needed because they're highly addictive. I'm trying to fight through it right now. We'll see what happens.
I'm "hip to your struggle" as I have been experiencing the same things. For me, the tingling varies a bit at times just being in my face, and my lower arms/ hands and lower legs/feet to being all over and the heart palpitations have been going on 2 1/2 weeks and have varying degrees of chest tightness which spreads into my neck feeling short -of-air, and shaky after it stops. I'm now experiencing this several times a day and at any time during the day (or night). This is NOT anxiety. Being a Paramedic, I've taken care of plenty of individuals suffering from anxiety attacks, and this isn't it. Anxiety doesn't make you cold and it can be usually associated with a stress trigger. Picture someone you've just scared the whoosits out of and that is what anxiety looks like. Sweating, shaky, bounding pulse and rapid/ deep breathing with palpitations/ chest tightness only after they've been in "panic mode" for a few minutes... Do you have leg or back muscle cramps at night? Any trouble with your bowels? I'm sure these things are related, but as yet, my Drs are still "chasing zebras"...I really think this is some sort of endocrine/ electrolyte/calcium regulation or deficiency thing -probably thyroid, but that is a bit outside of my knowledge pool -other than personal experience anyhow...Good luck! -You're not going crazy...:) ~MM
