Waiting to see is TSH is 30 for RAI

I'm sitting here waiting for my endo to call me with my blood test results to see if my TSH has reached the majic number "30".  I'm not holding my breath since I've only been off my meds since 4 January.  Had blood drawn on 2 Jan and my TSH was 2.13 while still on meds.  Before surgery, with Graves disease, it was .006 at the lowest.  So at least it's going in the right direction.  I haven't started to feel like **** yet, so I don't think it's high enough to have the RAI that is scheduled for 17 Jan.  Has anybody had their TSH go up that much in such a short period? I just can't wait to get of the LID,  having serious cravings for chocolate and my Yoplait Boston Cream pie yogurt!!!!

Well the wait has been continued. I now have to wait till Monday to find out my TSH results.  The lab should have sent the results to my endo today.   Called a number the lab gave me to get the results faxed to endos office for a half hour hearing "all circuits are busy".  This was while driving down I-95 during rush hour on a Friday holiday weekend!! Got home, found another number on-line and called it.  By the time I got a hold of a human being, my endo's office was closed and she left town for the next 1 1/2 wks.  They said there was no way for me to get them before Monday. So, I just had a melt-down with all the frustration.  Guess I need to triple up on my "happy" pills!!!!  Thank God me and a friend of mine are going to hear a coworkers band play. Plan on having a few glasses of wine, since it's okay on the LID.  If that lab lady knew how much fun it is being pre-RAI after a TT on LID, she would have given me the results, privacy rights be da**ed!  Felt like reaching thru the phone and getting them myself.  Boy,  hypohell is sooooooooooo much fun, and I've only been off my meds for 8 days!!!!

I think that those of us who have been/are going through the LID and hypo should be treated with kid gloves because we ARE liable to come through the phone and choke people!

Sorry you are having to wait longer.  It's terrible, I know!  Yeah, wine is okay on the LID - the last week or so it should be mandatory!  :-)

Hang in there!  Keep posting, it was the only thing that kept me from choking someone!
