Is there any relationship with thyroid and eczema
I know but my mind is so much disturbed..
You've only been on the increased dosage for a few days. You have to give it time to work. It takes 4-6 weeks for the med to reach full potential. You may still need further increase, but not before testing again.
I dnt knw what's happening to me.. I think nw can't control my anger also.. Hope everything goes well soon
You may have to adapt a new sleeping position, in order to alleviate pain, for the time being.
Neck discomfort should be alleviated by the medication, but it may take a while. If it isn't, you need to see your doctor, in case there is something else wrong.
I have a doubt that my neck seems to be bulged a bit and i found difficulty in laying on my back a tight feeling of neck.. Does this discomfort will go by the medication.i usually sleep on my back..
I'm sorry, I'm not online all the time, so I don't always see comments as soon as they are posted.
I agree, that with your labs, your medication should be increased and 6 weeks is the right time frame for further check on blood work.
There really aren't any foods that you have to completely avoid. There is a group of foods, called goitrogens, that affect thyroid function, but their goitrogenic properties are destroyed when cooked, though I even eat them raw. The goitrogens include cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels sprouts, mustard greens, radishes (I eat a ton of those), spinach, strawberries, peaches, soy products and peanuts. The only thing I avoid, completely, is soy.
You can do any type of exercise you enjoy, as long as you are physically able. I always recommend yoga and walking as the best, but anything that keeps you moving is good.
Hello. Barb 135 am waiting for ur comments...and could you plz tell me what all veggies are bad for thyroid..and what kind of exercise can I do..
I again test my tsh,ft3 and ft4 my tsh is33.67 ft3 3.0 reference is. 3.1-6.8 ft4 9.3 reference 12.0-22.0 and my dr (endocrinologist) increased the dosage eltroxin 100 mcg..for 6 weeks and for further chk up
Have you changed your diet, or implemented an exercise plan to lose weight? For many of us, just starting thyroid hormones is not enough; we have to cut calories and be very careful of the types of food we eat.
I did tell you what to do. You need to be on medication, or your thyroid hormones will continue to drop. You will continue to gain weight and other symptoms will develop, if you don't already have them.
You need to get back to the doctor and get back on medication.
Hi barb135 even after taking the medicine my weight is not reducing and the areno symptoms.am going to consult an endocrinologist soon..
Could anyone can give me an idea what to next plz....
Your FT3 is very low in the range, indicating that you are still hypo. Why did you stop taking the thyroid medicine? Are you still not taking it?
Not taking the medicine will only cause your TSH to rise further and you will continue to gain weight, plus other symptoms will appear. You have to have thyroid hormones to stay alive; not treating your hypothyroidism, could cause myxedema which is a life threatening condition of hypothyroidism.
Now my weight iss 70 kgs I was 60 aftr my delivery.
Ft3 reference range 3.10-6.80
ft4 reference range 12-22
What are the reference ranges for the FT3 and FT4? Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.
Your cholesterol levels look good, except that your HDL is right at the bottom of normal.

My ft3 was3.2 and ft4 6.7
Hello,
your TSh is very high and means you are hypothyroid.
You do need to take the thyroid meds. This is critical for your health (and aside from your weight issues).
I would strongly recommend that you see an endocrinologist.
You need to ask your Dr. to check FT3/FT4 next time. This will be important for finetuning / adjusting meds.
