Hi and Welcome,
The not knowing and the followup is sometimes the hardest part.
When is your surgery? Also, may depend what portion they captured on the FNA that determined cyst vs. follicular in the catch. But I'm not a Dr so not really sure of course.

The hemi surgery is usually a piece of cake, I have had two of them. I had the same, four nodules, they couldn't tell from my FNA biopay, so we did a hemi, then they found cancer so I had the TT. Both surgeries were pretty easy, I was up walking 2 miles in a few days. They went through the same scar, so I only have one small one, barely noticable. As long as you have an experienced surgeon...one who does at least 50 thyroids a year, you will be OK. I hope it goes well.
thanks for comments and information, Im having surgery in 10 days time, really nervous, and to make it worse the hospital says that no-one can stay with me, they can only visit at the proper visiting times, I would prefer it if i could have my hubby there when i wake up. thanks again
