I don't know the answer to your question but I know how it feels to have thyroid cancer that doesn't quite go like it's supposed to. Have you consulted with an oncologist? They may have some thoughts that your endo doesn't and might give you a fresh opinion on how things are going. Please keep us posted, I'm very interested to hear what happens.

"I am a 51 year old white female, wife and a mother with a 13 year old daughter who is asking questions too. I am going back for a third radiation treatment for my thyroid levels (TSH) was and is now at 29 and maintain at 29 since my last scan. My first radiation treatment was after my total thyroidectomy. My dosage of radiation was (100 mCi) With continueing monitering my thrygolblin levels persisted to stay around (54), so I had another round of radiation in July 2006 with a dosage of (155 mCi) which brought down my (TSH) levels to 29. I have had my blood work monitered and have been to a Endrocronigist Surgeon to have a biopsy done on some lyphm nodes. They came back benign. I also had a PET-CT scan done with THERYOGEN done which came back normal.
I am schduled to go for another round of radiation (200 mCi) around the 24 of July 2007. I have been told that this is not a common occurance, but has happened before. What is the possiblity of having to do this a fourth time?" I sent this back in July, I recently got my numbers back today. Free T4 is 1.6 and free T3 is 340. TSH is a little low, but it is supposed to be since you have had thyroid cancer. Endro Dr called and told me that. I was wondering what my prognosis is for this third and last time? I hope its the last. Where do I go from here?
Thanks,
