Thanks AR!
That may explain my increase in AB as I had the flu approx a month ago.
I've been thinking about some alternative remedy such as acupunture or something like that - do you know (or anyone else) if it might help?
A year ago I had no ABs, now with the relapse Abs are back
Try not to get sick. :-)
This is just a theory of mine, and has no basis in fact or research. I am of the opinion that strengthening the immune system produces more antibodies. "Stirring up" the immune system by agravating it (getting sick) produces more antibodies.
I could be completely wrong. Doctors don't have any idea why undesireable antibodies proliferate. Still, my opinion is you should not poke at the hornet's nest.
I keep my immune system mellow by smoking a hooka while listening to the Beatles' White Album in candle light. It's really groovy, but my wife is always yelling "turn that music down!!". Really spoils the mood. :-/
LOL!!!!
(you can ignore most of the stuff you just read. The parts that are not made up are probably just wrong)
Many thanks for your answer!! how do you keep your "immune system mellow"?
Selenium has been shown to have some influence on TPOab titers, but how well it works or if it helps at all is unpredictable. Some people saw a decline of 50% or more, some people saw no decline at all. Some people fell in between, in tests that were run.
The dosage used in the studies was 200mcg, which the doctors considered a safe but strong dose. You can buy it anywhere, but you should know that 200mcg is safe, but 200mg will poison you.
A good multivitamin has Selenium in it.
As far as I know there is no way to control TSI or TBII titers.
Trying to keep your immune system mellow is about all you can do.
