What happens If I quit taking Armour thyroid after being on it for several years?

Hi, I have been on thyroid medication now for several years. However I have been doing alot of research on line and I am experiencing alot of the "side effects" of the medication and I'm wondering...what will happen if I just stop cold turkey..no more, wake up tomorrow and not take it. My symptoms are horrible, and now I have the answers.

Just what side effects do you think you have from Armour?

They could just be from thyroid disease, meds dont always relieve all symptoms.

Why were you prescribed thyroid replacement hormones in the first place?  If you are truly hypo and/or have Hashimoto's, you will eventually die without thyroid hormones......

If you have thyroid blood tests, please post them, along with reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report......

Your symptoms could be coming from under medication (or over medication).  We can only tell by current blood test results........
