Were you just diagnosed?   About 14 months ago I was diagnosed hypo.  I was probably hypo for many years until it finally peaked and I ended up in ER.  My primary doc put me on 100mcg of Synthroid (TSH = 15) and after about a month I experienced your symptoms (palps, shortness of breath, panic attacks, dizzyness, very sweaty....everyday).
I went to specialist after specialist to confirm I was a very healthy young man and my Prim doc reduced my dosage to 50mcg and the symptoms went away. At that time my TSH was 1.1.  I believe the crazy symptoms were because my body was very used to running at a 15 TSH and all of sudden an artificial hormone is introduced, therefore offsetting your chemical balance.
I caution you to do everything gradually.  I say this from experience because I had a VERY tough time dealing with the roller coaster.   Also, understand that lower dose isn't the true fix.  After 6 months on 50mcg, I was back to Hypo and I was dealing with those effects (brain fog, depression, sleepy, etc).  Now I am at 75mcg and I feel like this might be a stable dose for me.
My heart goes out to anyone dealing with this disease.  It is so different for each person that modern medicine has a very hard time embracing it.

In order for us to best answer your post, we need to know more about you.  Please post your lab test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.  Also, do you have other symptoms of thyroid problems?  Apparently you were previously diagnosed with thyroid problems.  What was determined to be the cause?  What medication and dosage are you taking?
