Developing Other Auto Immune Diseases

I have Hashimoto's.  Does this mean I have a higher probability than the average person w/o Hashimoto's of developing another auto immune disease?  My doctor said "NO" -  but I have heard and read conflicting info.  I just want to be aware of the possibility/probability so if something does happen, I can catch it early.  Thanks in advance.

I agree with goolarra - I, personally, have 2 of them --- Hashimoto's and pernicious anemia.

It's always a good idea to pay close attention to any symptoms you might get.  Some symptoms "overlap" and can mimic other diseases as well.

I disagree with your doctor.  I've always read that you are much more likely to get other autoimmune diseases.
