Dizzy After Surgery and Synthroid Side Effects

My complete thyroidectomy was 10 days ago and I'm still feeling generally dizzy and weak.  Is this normal?  Both my surgeon and my endo expect me to be out playing tennis or something but it's just not happening.  How long can I expect to feel this way?  Also - I'm having severe side effects from my Synthroid and have gone off it for a few days so I can different dosage on Monday.  Anybody have any experience with side effects?

Thanks!

i had a TT on 8/4 as well, and I had a problem with dizziness, which  turned out to be related to very low calcium levels.  Have you had yours checked?
After I got that regulated (well, I'm still working on that. . .taking a million calcium & calcitrol oills)  the dizziness subsided.
Also, I've been taking synthroid since the day after my surgery (.175) and I feel good.  I hope it's not just beginner's luck.

Best of luck to you!
Be well!

I had a right lobectomy on Aug.4 and am still having occasional episodes of dizziness.  It took exactly one week for me to get over the nausea, feverishness, headaches and general lethargy.  The dizziness continues and usually comes on about 11:00-12 noon and then goes away. It does seem to be getting less and less though.  A friend told me she had severe dizziness which only resolved when she started on synthroid.  I've had my thyroid levels checked but no results yet.
