In view of your symptoms and limited info from blood test results, I think I would be suspicious of excess levels of thyroid hormone. So I would ask to be tested for the biologically active thyroid hormones, which are Free T3 and Free T4 (not the same as Total T3 and Total T4). FT3 largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions. Also, it might be worthwhile to test for the possibility of Graves' Disease, by running a TSI test. An untrasound test of the thyroid glands would also be a good idea.
Hopefully other members will have additional suggestions as well.
Hey, thanks for your reply.
Okay lab ranges are:
TSH 0.5 - 5.5
My result was 0.6
Can't remember the low T4 range but the highest end of normal was 20, but has now changed to 24 in the uk. mine was 16.
I am very symptomatic and the dr's won't listen. They keep suspecting a Pheocromocytoma but my results for that came back negative.
Be aware that the so-called "normal" ranges are so broad that just being somewhere within the range does not mean that is normal for what your body needs. Please post your thyroid test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report so that members can help interpret and advise further.
