Endocrinologist's in California

My daughter is moving out to Burbank, California for a new job and I need to find a good endocrinologist for her.  Someone recommended her doc while she was in Virginia so I thought I would try to find someone who knows someone good.  She has hypothyroidism and PCOS.  I would love to find someone that was well versed in both thyroid issues and the other hormonal issues.  She continues to struggle with weight, acne, and no menstruation.

Also, I read something about secondary hypothyroidism.  She does have a pituitary adenoma but it has been tested and it is not secreting.  What is secondary hypothyroidism?

Thank you, I believe you are the person who recommended Dr. Clamp in Virginia.  She has been very helpful.  Also, now I understand what they mean by secondary hypothyroidism.  It doesn't change anything, sort of just explains why you have it.

Rather than my own explanation, here is a quote from a source on secondary hypothyroidism.

"secondary (central) due to the failure of adequate thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) secretion from the pituitary gland or thyrotrophin-releasing hormone (TRH) from the hypothalamus."

I just sent you a PM with two doctors for you to consider for your daughter.  To access, just click on your name and go to your personal page.  Then click on messages.
