Oh, you poor thing! I have never had any kind of FNA, so I can't help you, I just wanted you to know how bad I feel for you. I hope you don't still hurt that bad. Think I would have come up off the table at him!!
Dac
Thanks Dac,
I hope it was a learning experience for the hospital staff that they will now either sedate anyone going through it or at least offer them more novicaine or whatever they used to numb the area. This was an awful experience for me.
Anyone else have this done and have a different experience than I?
Thanks.
I believe I had the same thing- didn't they numb the area first? Mine was ultra sound guided, sO I saw the needle going in and out on the screen really fast over and over again!!!! I felt the initial needle going in , but he never completely pulled it out I don't think. Since it was numb, it wasn't that painful for me. HOpe you feel better.
Yes, the doctor did numb it but obviously not enough. Mine also was ultrasound guided but I wasn't able to see the screen. I was coughing and crying. Just awful. I could not get any words out to stop him and my arms were strapped down. If anyone else has it done this way please ask if there is some way you can let him know if it's not numbed enough. When he shot the numbing agent into my neck some of it squirted all over my face! This guy was careless and wreckless. I've never felt so helpless in my life.
You need to report this to admin. Seriously if no ever takes a stand about these things and lets them know what is going on it will keep happening.
