menopause

I can't stand this any more! Mental pause!! Hi, I'm Vicki, I'm on meds for menopause plus thyrod meds for about 3 years. I'm 45 years old and going nuts most of the time.Nothing has helped. The weight gain is huge.I'v tried everything.I feel like theres no hope for me.What do you suggest or can you help me at all? Thanks Vicki

Yep, I agree that there's hope for you -- there's no giving up allowed on this forum....... lol

Please do post your latest thyroid test results, along with reference ranges, since ranges vary lab to lab, so  must come from your own report.  That will help us assess your situation and help come up with ideas.

It would also be helpful to know what medications you are taking for menopause, along with symptoms you are having.  

Do you know if you  have an autoimmune thyroid disease?

Without question there is hope for you.  The first thing is to be sure that your thyroid levels are adequate to relieve symptoms.  If you look at this link showing 26 of the typical symptoms of being hypothyroid, how many would you say that you have?

What thyroid med are you taking and what is the daily dosage?   Also, please post your thyroid test results, along with reference ranges shown on the lab report, so that members can comment of the adequacy of testing and treatment.
