If I have a TSH of 3.0 I feel hypo so know what yr going through.
Push for a small increase in your meds...just a very, very small one.

I agree with goolarra!  I have had hypo symptoms for 15 years and always fell "within normal" ranges but did not feel well.  I felt hypo at 3.5 and had all the symptoms. Find a doctor who will treat you by your symptoms.  Don't go through years of what I did.  I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer this year and had a total thyroidectomy.  I really wish I had pushed more.  Good luck!

The currently accepted reference range for TSH according to the AACE (endos) is 0.3 to 3.0.  Many docotrs and labs use outdated ranges, as yours appears to do.  Your TSH of 4.0 indicates hypo.  Has your doctor also tested free T3 and free T4?
