Had my surgery

They moved my surgery up a day, to Tuesday. I am doing okay. Still really sore and I can not raise my voice.  My biopsy came back as FOllicular Neoplasm.  They did a frozen section during surgery and it came back inconclusive. So now we have to wait and see if it is cancer or not.  Anyone deal with this and what was the outcome?  If it is cancer I will have to have the other side removed.

I agree that TT is not the end of the world... I haven't had a TT, but my thyroid not longer functions at all, so it's just like having it taken out.

Since they weren't sure about the cancer, it's too bad they didn't take the whole thyroid in order to avoid a second surgery.

Wishing you all the best...

Having a total TT is not the end of the world.

Going on 20yrs since my RAI, TT.

Still working 40hrs, clean house (although only child in college now), do laundry, nothing changed for me...
