Well, it takes a while for the hormone to accumulate in the bloodstream.

Hence the anxiety may be unrelated to the levo and, while there's probably no reason to be cutting the pills after only two days, always speak to the doctor if you change something.
Many people experience anxiety with an illness and that response may give you the idea that it's the med.
If you have symptoms of a systemic allergic reaction (see insert that came with pills), possibly to some inert ingredient (rare) then call 911.

Patients and doctors need to work together since while the patient certainly doesn't always know as much they think they know, the doctor needs the patient's cooperation to treat them sucessfully.

People should ask questions specific to their treatment to their physicians as well and never throughly depend on advice from people checking through the shallow repository  that is the Internet.

A great deal of confusion and anxiety about treatment can be prevented simply by asking the doctor to explain why.

Hope you feel better soon.

No it is the patient's decision. You know how you feel. If it feels wrong ask your doctor about lowering dose for a while.

Its her doctor decision, not ours.

We  do not know what the doctor intensions are nor her health.

After 2 days meds, it really won't hurt to go more slowly and reduce meds, you won't suffer. If your levels were not really high to begin with, starting low is the way to go anyway. IT's not like 25 mcg is keeping you from any serious harm right now.

Call your doctor today if they are in and simply ask, otherwise call on Monday. Hope you feel better soon.

Do not change your med. dose without doctors knoweledge and permission.  You  might cause havoc with your levels and change what your doctor expected from the dose.

Call doctor! and if you are feeling really intense and can't get a hold of doctor then go to ER.

It can't hurt to cut it in half. I had to do that when I went from 25 to 50. I did 1 1/2 tabs 25 mcg to =37.5. Stayed there for about 10 days, then went to 50 w/ no problem. I have some anxiety related to the Hasho's, so I don't really know if it was the Synthroid dose increase or not. Call thr dr. if your appt. is not soon so you don't worry more and make it worse.(I know how that is!)
What was your starting TSH?
