Hashimotos

I was told I have hashimotos enc...(some long name) due to having high levels of thyroid antibodies.
This condition is extremely rare.
Would anyone know if someone can have hashimotos thyroiditus but still have a normal thyroid, as I've heard to have this you have high thyroid antibodies as well as an underactive thyroid.
My thyroid is not over or under.....

Not sure, I think my everything else is fine, its only that I have high levels thyroid antibodies, I have been suffering a lot of neurological symptons such as tingling, burning, numbness etc and neuro is trying to see whats wrong as mri's and L.P has all come back clear and negative. I am told hashimotos is a mimic of ms (what I am worried about)
Some people with thyroid problems apparantly can have these symtons, its just that the neuro told me I have hashimotos enc(some long name) and only 48 people have been dx with it, my symptons don't fit it anyway they fit hashimotos thyroiditus but to have this I thought I had to have an underactive thyroid with it. I also have a multi nodular goitre and my endocronologist who dx this in 2004 told me to get blood test every 12 months as my thyroid would eventually become under or over.  The whole thing is just so confusing, my endo and neuro are both telling me 2 different things, its so hard to know which way to go. Neuro put me on steroids for thyroid antibodies, they did not take symptons away as he said they would, now people are asking me as to why he didn't put me on thyroid steroids, which is a good question, and one I will certainly be asking him, when he calls, as I am still waiting for him to call me, hopefully it will be before the weeks out.

You can be diagnosed with Hashimoto's without an abnormal TSH level. The thyroid antibodies will be high.
This predicts a higher chance of becoming hypothyroid in the future.
What is your TSH?
