Guys
Thanks for the advice, I will make it a point of getting a full thyroid test done, I will also ask around the family to see of anyone has had or has these symptoms...apreciate the guidence guys this is a little settling now that I know whats going on, well lets see wht the doc says...
I agree with redheadaussie, get a full thyroid panel done. If you have to go see another doctor.
Do insist on full thyroid testing. Tell them you have unexplained weight loss and heart palpatations.
You need TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Tg Antibodies and TPO antibodies. You may well be hyperthyroid if no other presenting illness or symptoms are occurring.
Do you know if your family has any thyroid issues? Ask around the family if they have ever had skinniness or funny hearts....often in families it is not realised it is a thyroid issue but just 'one of those things Aunty Jean could never put on weight but she ate like a horse' kind of things.
Get the testing done!
Cheers
None, they say there is no reason for concern... I need to know whats going on, I'm a very technical person and I don't like to leave things hanging...
Have they run any thyroid tests?
I have, a GP though, what kind of tests are we talking about here. General checks ups now and then and all seems fine but I definately don't feel fine especiaaly with the recuring pupitations...
Have you seen your doctor about this? They most likely need to run some tests.
