He did not tell me what my levels were today, just that they were in normal range. He only gave me the cytomel because I said I felt bad, not because I had a conversion problem. I don't really think it is doing anything.
stella- are you on Armour? I asked him for it today...
He said that he felt like a lot of times it is in people's mind that they are feeling better on the Armour because they have not had good luck with anything else and just want it to work???? What?? He really did not want me to change yet but I have been hypo for so long and nothing is helping at all. I just want to feel like myself again! I do not think the way I feel has anything to do with not exercising regularly.
Your body is still in hypothyroid mode and is not adjusting yet to your thyroid medication to where it wants it to be.
I would go for the Armour if you want and skip the couple of months more. You can always return to the old meds if you want - but it sounds your situation was alot like mine and I am happy I pushed for the change. I feel wonderful.
What are your free T4 and free T3 numbers ? With the reference ranges .
I got pretty much the same answer from my doctor. He told me to take a good prenatal vitamin (I'm 72) and walk as much as I could. He seems to thinkmy tiredness is from inactivity. I wish he could follow me around just for one day.
