Help!

Several years ago I was put on Synthroid even tho my thyroid levels were perfect-always were! But they felt 'my symptoms'  were definately hypothyroid! After 3 months the doc asked how I felt. My reply '******'! So she raised my med. Again,3 months later I felt even worse! I have since gotten off the meds but have never regained my health. It has been over 5 years- any suggestions to reverse this?
Thank you

Why don't you start by posting those perfect thyroid hormone results, including the most recent ones?  Be sure to include reference ranges, which vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own reports.

What dosage of Synthroid did they start you on and by how much did they increase your dosage?

Did they ever test thyroid antibodies to determine if you have Hashimoto's?  The tests they would have needed to run are Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOab) and Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TgAb).  You need them both because some of us have one or the other, some have both.

Also, please tell us exactly what your symptoms are.  Many hypo symptoms can apply to other illnesses, as well as vitamin deficiencies, etc, so it's helpful to know the exact symptoms.

How long have you been off the Synthroid?

Before further discussion, please post those perfect thyroid test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.  Also, what symptoms did you have then?  What symptoms do you have now?  What are your latest thyroid related test results?
