Concerned about Ultrasound and Lab Reports

Over ten years ago, I had to have the left side of thyroid removed due to follicular tumor w/o atypia. I was put on thyroid meds ever since.  Lately I have a feeling of something in my throat and tend to choke occasionally.  PCP not the least concerned.  Went to an endocronologist.  He sent me for labs and ultrasound.
Ultrasound showed heterogenous appearance of right thyroid gland with lobulated margins 2.5x1.8cm.
Labs showed TSH 1.70    and Anti-Microsomal AB at 619.
Can you explain all this to me.  Thank you

Hi there. I just means your thyroid is not looking like an everyday thyroid, with some lumpy bits along the edges.

It could be due to Hashimoto's If you are having that 'in the throat' feeling then it is probably time to get it out! Often after many years of working by itself, after losing one side, the thyroid does tend to start to give up.

You don't mention any Free T4 or Free T3. Have you had them tested? These will definitely show if your thyroid is starting to die off.

Cheers
