yup, saw the surgeon this morning. . .got another shot in the scar. . .I go back in january & if it still hasn't flattened out, we're going to talk about lasering it down. . .
i hope everyone else had a great week!
So far, so good. I just want to go on record as wanting CHEESE, CHEESE, and more CHEESE right now! LID *****. And I'm a pretty good at making anything I want on LID, even breads... but there are tons of things that require CHEESE!!!
Two shots of Thyrogen later and the RAI dose yesterday.... Such fun. Full body scan is tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a totally clean scan and to be done with all this cancer business once and for all! I'll let you know when I find out the results. Probably sometime next week.
Hi Cheryl!
I'm all booked in for RAI treatment round 2 in january, but get to use thyrogen this time :) yey! got a TSH of 0.01 which is a bit unbearable at times (but i've moaned about this in another post :)
you keep your TSH slightly higher don't you? my GP and onco want me to leave it a while and see if i get used to it, yuk,
loads of love x x x
Thank you for the information, I will look it up right now. I am also being treated for a bladder infection that showed up after a cystoscopy, but funny thing is it does not hurt, nor is it painful to urinate. The only reason I had it done was because I go way to much. (15-20) per day.
How long does it actual take to get rid of the infections.? Do I need follow ups?
Here is what I found doing a MedHelp Search:

I had that one
Klebsiella pneumoniae
with a Urinary Tract Infection .. tough strain to get rid of for me.

thanks for thinking of me.
my surgical follow-up is tomorrow. . .I'm expecting another shot in the scar.
It's a little raised and the last time I was there they injected it with something. . .
I'll keep ya'll posted.
Be well everyone!
Had a colonoscopy done on 10-20. Now I have two infections, which I believe I got from that.
Abscess: Left buttock- cut and drained twice.
Pathology report: Klebsiella pneumoniae & Streptococcus milleri group
Hoping it will go away, so far abscess is still firm and painful. Have been on Bactrim for the K. pneumoniae (8 days), but Dr. office called yesterday and told me that the pathology report also showed streptococcus, and I need amox for that one. I am just hoping the 8 days in delay of treating that does not make it worse...
Not a happy camper....
