How does thyroid affect eyesight?

My baby just had his 9 month check-up with his endocrinologist and I was asked if he had any problems with his eyesight or his breathing.  I was caught off guard and didn't ask why so now I'm asking anyone out there if they have any suggestions or answers regarding this.  Thanks!

Because thyroid problems can affect your eye sight.

If it affects your heart, it will show in your breathing.

I'm sorry.

I should have been more specific.

Vision changes can be temporary.

If you notice shallow panting or labored breathing, that may be indicative of heart problems.

Best wishes for you and your baby.

Thanks for the info. I've never had to deal with any complications with any of my other children so I try to devour any information I can about his condition.
