Please confirm that the T3 test is Free T3, not Total T3. Also, I have never seen a reference range like the one you listed for the T3 test. Could you please check and confirm that also.
From the other info you gave, and the high TSH test result, although there may be other issues, most likely you are hypothyroid. So, there are some things I suggest. First, the most frequent cause for diagnosed hypothyrodism is Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Hashi's occurs when the autoimmune system erroneously produces antibodies that attack the thyroid gland and eventually destroy the gland. Along the way, thyroid hormone production gradually diminishes and has to be replaced with thyroid medication. To determine if you have Hashi's, the tests are for the Thyroid Peroxidase and Thyroglobulin antibodies (TPO ab and TG ab. I suggest that you should be tested for those.
Also, you should request to be tested for the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T3 and Free T4 (not the same as Total T3 and T4) each time you go in to the doctor. Free T3 is the most important because it largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions. Scientific studies have shown that Free T3 correlated best with hypothyroid symptoms, while Free T4 and TSH did not correlate at all.
Next, a good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T3 and Free T4 levels as necessary to relieve symptoms. symptom relief should be all important, not just test results. So you need to find out if your doctor will treat you clinically, for symptoms, rather than just by test results. Note that many of our members say that symptom relief required Free T3 in the upper third of its range and Free T4 around the middle of its range.
Since hypothyroid patients are frequently too low in the range for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin, I also suggest that you should have those tested as well to determine if you need to take supplements for those.
If you can get those tests done, then when test results are available, please post results and reference ranges, and we can help interpret and advise further. That way you will know what treatment you need to discuss with your doctor.

Do you have other symptoms besides weight gain? If so, what are they? If you have been tested for thyroid related issues, please post test results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report. All this will help members better respond to your questions.
