Hypo, BCP and bleeding

On 8/26 I was started on Synthroid. I haven't had any issues with the medication. On 8/28 I got my period after first month on Yaz.
I am still bleeding (it has never stopped). It's not heavy, but it hasn't gone away.
My dr will be checking my thyroid levels after 8 weeks on Synthroid. I did email them about the bleeding and they said it could be Synthroid and told me to take a 1/2 dose, which I have, but nothing has changed.
I really don't think it's Synthroid as everything I have read says that it takes a while for Synthroid to start "helping" and it takes a few months for it to affect your menstrual cycle, so I really wouldn't suspect it to make any difference less than a week after starting it.
Anybody has any ideas?
Thanks.
