I would love to know the answer to the question you asked about being hypo and getting pregnant. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos 6 mos. ago and last Monday my TSH was 66.97, so I am now hypo officially my endo says. Oh great! :( My husband and I have been ttc for 14 mos. I have not had a period in 12 mos, but no pregnancy either. I have been to the fertility doc and had numerous blood tests, ultrasounds and laproscopic surgery. He could find no medical reason why I was not conceiving. He called it "idiopathic". I was supposed to start the fertility drug clomid this week-until my TSH went to 66.97. So no doctor has given me an answer as to why I stopped having periods and cannot get pregnant. They also keep trying to tell me it is not related to my thyroid. I just don't know what to think. I am taking Levothyroxine for my thyroid and will go back to my  fertility doc to try and get pregnant, but I would sure love some actual answers as to WHY I cannot get pregnant.
That's my story. Have you been trying to get pregnant? If so, what have been your results? I would love to know what someone else with hypo feels about getting pregnant, especially someone who is have difficulties. Hope to hear from you soon! Ashley

When I was 25, I had been off my 0.05 mg of synthroid and had accidentally gotten preggs. I thought for SURE I'd miscarry a 3rd time but that lil' girl held on and I was on my meds during my pregnancy. No problems whatsoever with pregnancy and birth, however, I wonder if her being recently diagnosed Type1 Diabetic had anything 2 do with it, b/c I read somewhere there's a link.
