Side effects of meds

Doctor started me on 1 grain Armour Thyroid on Wednesday.  TSH was 2.9.  By Saturday, sleepiness and lethargy was debilitating.  Also experienced sugar cravings and could not get warm.  Did not take meds on Sunday and felt better.  Is this a normal side effect of Armour?

You might have adrenal fatigue.  The symptoms are the same a slow thyroid.  I would get another blood test done and  make sure they include metabolic, DHEA, cortisol, B12, Vit D.  Something could be off in these areas.

Classic symptoms...cold, tired, sluggish, weight gain, etc., etc.  TSH levels went from 2.1 to 2.9 in about six months.  I guess the issue is "what is the normal range".  Doctor diagnosed based on .3 to 3.0 range.

Your TSH looks to be within a normal range?  Why did the doctor put you on Armour?  Was there some question before about you being hypothyroid?  More info, please. . . .
