Hey girl,
I was so worried about you (I totally missed this post)...glad you are home. I hope you have a support group at home as well as here.
Take it easy and take good care of yourself. The rest will fall into place.
Keep me posted on your condition.
I will have my 2nd surgery on Tuesday 11/18 at 1:30 pm.
Welcome home. I'm so sorry the second surgery was tougher! Did they have to take a bunch of lymph nodes this time?
Remember, ice packs are a great thing for the pain and swelling. Talk to your doctor about Cytomel for a couple of weeks. They will have to discontinue it a few weeks before the RAI but it will help for a few weeks while you are going through hypohell and on the LID.
You'll get through this and we will help you.

WELCOME home .. it's rough having two major surgeries in a short time.
C~
Glad to see your home. It's normal to feel the way that you do. Your body has gone through quite a change. I was sent home without meds because I had to wait for my Endo to order a RAI. My Endo put me on synthroid, however, I had to go off of it for my RAI. Some are given smaller doses and not taken off of synthroid for the RAI. That's what my doc was suppose to do, but then he changed his mind and said no. Keep your chin up, it takes awhile to get going. You'll be fine in a couple of days. You will be very tired and sore. Just make sure that you take your pain meds so that you can manage the pain better. You just got home kid....don't worry!!! Can't expect much in a day. You will be okay. As far as symptoms go for hypo, I've had just about all of them. But you do learn how to cope. My main gripe is the part of being tired all of the time. For now, just get all the rest that you can. Take care.
Welcome home! I'm sorry that you're feeling so bad, though. Have they told you when you're going to have your RAI? I've seen some on here that were sent home with meds, even though they were going to have the RAI. Some don't though, and I was one of them. Everyone is different as to what symptoms they have going hypo. Yes, you'll be able to function, but expect that you're going to feel really drained. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I actually worked through being hypo, but there was a lot of brain fog going on!!
