FINDINGS: Right and left lobes of thyroid measure 5.1 x 1.8 x 1.9 cm and 4.6 x 1.3 x 1.6 cm respectively. Isthmus measures 2 mm in thickness. There is a 0.7 x 0.5 x 0.7 cm solid isoechoic nodule with hypoechoic rim in the mid right thyroid lobe posteriorly which has slightly increased in size and measured 4 x 3 mm in the prior study. No associated microcalcifications are abnormal Doppler flow about this nodule. There is a stable 3 mm cystic circumscribed anechoic nodule in the lower pole of right thyroid lobe laterally. There is a 3 x 4 mm inhomogeneous hypoechoic nodule in the lower pole of the left thyroid lobe which was not seen in the prior study. The thyroid gland is otherwise normal in size, echotexture and demonstrates normal Doppler flow.
Bilateral small thyroid nodules. Slight increase in size of a 7 x 5 mm solid nodule in the mid right thyroid lobe with interval development of a 4 mm left thyroid nodule
