Sea Salt is iodine. Sea salt come from kelp or sea vegetation, the whole ocean is iodine! Have you heard or know that sea food is loaded with iodine , well its because it comes from the sea/ocean.
Even vegetable salts will contain iodine because the vegetables they use contain some degree of iodine themselves.
Brands of sea salt may not list iodine per se, but it is a known fact that sea salt is sea vegetation and sea vegetation (and sea foods) contains iodine.
Its only obvious.

Hi- I'm new here. Just wanted to say that almost every sea salt I've seen has no added iodine, in fact I had trouble finding some with iodine for my husband to use. Almost all grocery stores have sea salt grinders in the spices section. And sea salt is much better for your BP as well and has a more delicate taste :)

Hashimoto's and getting worked up for adrenal issues..oh joy.
You should be able to get it at any local grocery store.
My state, local grocery store has Mortenson (spell) for one brand, has both. Store own brand has non iodide salt or generic brand as well. Artificial salt would work. However I always check label ingredients to make sure.

I have salt that says "this food does not contain iodide" ....is iodine and iodide the same thing? I can find that kind of salt everywhere, but I wasn't sure if iodide is the same thing as iodine?
I went to the local grocery and their name brand here in Louisiana contained no iodine. Have a feeling there are quite a few you can find in any local grocery store. Rouse's here is where I found mine.
