Is there any benefit in splitting doses?

I have been on a combination of T4 and T3 and for a couple of weeks about a week after starting the combo i felt really good and then i felt bad again. I was taking all my T4 and half my T3 dose in the morning and the other half of the T3 at 5pm. I have now decided to split my T4 and T3 into 4 daily divided doses. Does anyone think that it will give any benefit? I am trying to mimic the gland as closely as possible.

I also split doses. I take levothyroxine and cytomel at 5am and cytomel alone around 2pm. That seems to get me through the day. Everyone is different. I have had to up the amount of cytomel at each dose, but my endocrinoligist was willing to add an additional dose once a day. If you take vitamins the hard part ot taking several doses a day is giving yourself a four hour window away from thyroid medication to take the vitamins so they will not interfere with each other.
