What are the reference ranges for the FT3 and FT4? Ranges vary from lab to lab, so must come from your own report.
"my question is was stopping my medication the right thing to do?" Probably not........ I'm quite sure that your doctor is reacting to the TSH result, which is low, but your FT's are okay, so you aren't hyper....... AND, it's not customary to remove a patient from thyroid medication just because levels are in the normal range - that's the idea of taking medication - to get/keep levels in a range that works for you. Typically, more thyroid hormone is needed during pregnancy, because you have to supply the growing fetus, as well.
While it's "normal" to gain weight when pregnant (you're supporting 2 people), some of your weight gain could be due to the drop in medication. You need to get your levels tested every single month during the pregnancy to make sure you have adequate hormones to sustain both you and your baby, since adequate thyroid hormones are essential to your babies growth and development.
i just got tested again and here are the results. tsh 1.44, ft31.45, ft4 7.56, anti tpo 6.65 and anti tg 26.66. these are all todays results after a month of being off thyroid meds. the other ones are from a month ago when i was still taking medication. thank you for any advice you have to offer.
