You can actually order specific time of day saliva tests for many things, there not all 4 point, 24 hour, so I didn't know that's what you had for sure.
Most adaptations will 'level' stressed adrenal glands , raise where needed, and lower where needed - and maybe you know that already.
I have no experience with taking licorice for adrenals, and have not read about it on MH thyroid or adrenal forums. All I can say is 10 to 15 mg is not much in terms of supplements. If it were me, I'd ask this person for clarification purposes.
I assume you never read my original post since you're asking questions I already gave answers to. I took a saliva test as I said in my post above. I was only asking in this post about my morning cortisol. My doc is a holistic doc, but the licorice was actually recommended by Diangos-Tech (Like I already said in my original post if you read it). It's been proven that licorice DOES raise cortisol. I only need to know how to raise it for the morning. I already have supplements given to me by my doctor to lower it at the other times of day when it's too high.
Do you have any ideas about the licorice since that's what I was asking about?
Since this doc suggested licorice, is this doc a naturo path or chiro? I would doubt the effectiveness of licorice to bring up cortisiol as much as you need. Might want to goggle this. It is very low in the AM. This is a good reason to have it checked at another time as well besides morning. There is another range for blood cortisol in the late afternoon. Or a 24 hour saliva adrenal test will tell you more.
