Forgot to mention the tests for Hashi's, which are TPO ab and TG ab. For Graves', the test is TSI.
First off, I agree with FTB4 about getting re-tested for FT3 and FT4, along with TSH. I also agree with requesting tests for Hashimoto's and Graves' due to the somewhat unusual combination of test results and with you having had Hashi's. I realize that in the UK it is sometimes difficult to get all the testing you want done, but in view of her age and the TSH being above range, and your Hashi's history, I think that should be enough reason for you to insist on these tests.
When test results are available, I suggest that you get a copy of the lab report and post results and reference ranges here, so that members can help interpret and advise further.
The Endo should re-do a new Thyroid Panel including both Free T3 and T4, I think he should also do an anti-body, just to rule out an Auto-Immune Issue ie: Hashimoto's or Graves and to confirm the first set of tests, I am sure the Endo will diagnose and treat, most times when the Free's are high, the TSH is low or the Free's are low and the TSH is high, But in with these labs all three are a little high, but the TSH is not a thyroid hormone, it is a Pituitary Hormone that signals the thyroid when the thyroid hormones are low, it increases the TSH to make the Thyroid produce more hormone. As in Hashimoto's, your thyroid production is disrupted by your immune system, so without medication, your Frees are low, but TSH is high. I would check the symptoms of both Hashi's and Graves, and just keep an eye on her until you see the Endo. Best Regards FTB4
Thank you for your response it stated Free T3 which was 6.7 HIGH should be between (2.3 - 6-5) Free T4 13.8 (10.5 - 26.0) and TSH 7.16 HIGH (0.2 - 6.0).
The consultant we saw was not a specialist so could not help us, she was our dematologist we just didnt think thyroid at first.

I would not be concerned about the rdiation treatment you had if you did not come in contact with her during the required period of time, although Hashimoto's and other types of thyroid disease are hereditary, the levels you posted above, Is the T3 a total T3 or is marked Free T3? If you could check and repost those levels with the reference range for each we may be able to tell you more regarding her thyroid situation. Welcome to the forum Best Regards FTB4
