Lightheadedness

Been on Synthroid 12.5 mcg for about 10 days now after being on higher doses and having awful side effects. The past 2 days I have noticed lifhtheadedness. Is this a Synthroid side effect? It happens when I stand up, haven't really noticed it till yesterday.

thats a loaded question....  I am not on anything.  I just have learned to tolerate the symptoms. If I am sitting in front of the computer I notice them a lot more.  I try to be out and about as much as possible.  My symptoms are different on the thyroid than off.  But the fatigue seems to be constant in both cases.  I wrote about it here:

Ive gone through a number of changes as far as symptoms go.  From worse to tolerable.  I am mainly fatigued all the time with ear ringing.  When i was on the thryoid, my fatigue was much worse and the ringing was worse as well.

So what do you do if you can't tolerate it? How are you being treated?

Usually it takes a couple of weeks, maybe 2 for your body to get used to the thyroid until you find out exactly what your symptoms will be.  Some people seem to do okay on it once the two weeks is up, some people discover they have other issues.  Its hit and miss.  Also some people seem to have an adjustment period going up or even down in dose. I personally was unable to tolerate any of the thyroid even at the smaller dose, while others seem to just do fine after the adjustment period.
