TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by so many things that at best it is only an indicator, to be considered along with more important indicators such as symptoms and also the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3. Doctors mistakenly think that TSH is adequate as a diagnostic by which to determine thyroid status and medicate a hypothyroid patient. It is definitely not. When taking adequate thyroid med, TSH frequently becomes suppressed below range. That does not mean you have become hyperthyroid, unless you have hyper symptoms due to excessive levels of Free T4 and Free T3.
So please tell us about any symptoms you have, and also if tested for Free T4 and Free T3, please post results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.
