Low Total T3?

I have been feeling tired recently, and want to make it's not my thyroid levels.  I've been treated with RAI for Grave's disease in 2007 and am currently on 137 mcg Synthroid.  My endocrinologist switched practices and I'm not sure my primary cary physician looked over these labs, or not (their receptionist mailed them to me).

T3, total = 92 (normal is 97-219 ng/dL)
T4, free = 1.5 (normal is 0.8-1.8 ng/dL)
TSH, 3rd gen = 0.74  (no range shown)

My ferritin is 11, with a normal range 10-232 ng/mL.  Could that be bordering on low iron?

Thanks.

Your FT4 looks good, as does your TSH.  TT3 is low, which could make you tired.  You should ask your doctor to run free T3 (FT3), which is a much better indicator of your thyroid status than TT3, which is considered an obsolete test.

It looks like you might have a "conversion" problem, i.e. your body cannot convert the "storage" form of the thyroid hormone (T4) to the "active" form (T3).  You might benefit a lot by adding a bit of T3 meds (Cytomel) to your Synthroid.

Don't know about the ferritin.
