Medications

I learned I have a hyper thyroid a few years ago, and some how using birth control and having a thyroid issue I got pregnant and had my baby last July. After my hormones wore off my levels are increasing. I go see the specialist on the 27th. My question is if I start meds will it make my hair loss stop, or increase? And i was told some medications cause your eyes to bulge, is that true?

Hair loss is a symptom of a thyroid condition.  It should improve, once medication is adjusted properly.

I can't really comment much, further, until I see the blood test results, so will look forward to you posting them.

I mean after the pregnancy hormones were gone my levels increased. Roughly about 6wks after I had him my doctor did blood tests and sent a letter saying they were increasing. I'll post them the 27th. Thanx for the reply!

It's not the medications that make your hair fall out or your eyes bulge; it's the untreated hyperthyroidism that does that.

"After my hormones wore off my levels are increasing."  Can you explain that?   What hormones "wore off"?

Do you have actual blood tests that you can post here for us to further assess your situation?  If so, please be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and must come from your own report.
