My problem

I am 20 years old- female-
for the past year i have repeatedly been getting swollen glands in front of my ears to my jaw line- i looked it up and i believe it is my pituitary glands. I feel a lot of pressure when the appear- they dont hurt tho- but i get VERY irritable when they are there- i cant figure out what is causing it. it appears on both sides of my face- i try messaging it and putting warm water on it but they sometimes stay for a few days or more- go away or 1-3 weeks and come back.
what could be causing it- or how can i prevent it?

yeah i have that and is cause by infection on the ear, u need to go see and ear, throat doctor cause that presure on you're ears is cause of an infection, the doctor usually drains that out with a mini vacume not painfull do is very noisy, as soon as posible you get with a doc, the sooner you will get relieve, i just take antibiotics and a inflamation medicine and that is it. hope you get better!!!

My husband had something similar and saw the ENT who said it was sinus/allergies. He had allergy testing and now gets allergy shots and hasn't had a problem since.

Sorry but they are not your pituitary glands. We all have one pit gland - it's locatedat the base of the skull ( kinda behind your nose)

Your thinking of swollen necks glands associated with your lymph nodes. These usually inflame when your body is fighting an infection. If you have a fever or other symtpoms as well as swelling loneger than 2 weeks you really need to see your doctor. You just may need a short dose of
anti -biotics.

  good luck -
