Thank you. I know TSH would be very low in hyperthyroidism, which is why I something was wrong. I don't know the codes for medical billing.
I believe the 242.90 nos is a icd9 diagnosis code used for hospital billing referring to hyperthyroidism. Nos means not otherwise specified. The tsh would most likely be very low for hyperthyroidism along with elevated free t4. You need a copy of your labs for sure. I know it is a hassle to obtain but well worth it.
TSH of 242.90? That's not low, by any stretch of the imagination. That can't be right because that would be very hypo, not hyper, and most likely (depending on other test results, which they apparently didn't do), would require thyroid replacement medication, not a medication to block thyroid function.

What numbers are being tested? You should have TSH, Free T3 and Free t4 tested. Do you have Graves Disease?
