Thank you for the responses. I am going to ho to another doctor. I am not happy with the one that I have. I will post as soon as I have more results. The Rheumatologist said that I have fibromyalgia. I am not happy with that response. I think that they use this too oftern when they do not know what is wrong.
I'm not a doctor either, but I am a thyroid patient.
Have you had any thyroid tests done? Those would include, at the very least, TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. These tests will give you an idea of whether or not your thyroid is functioning properly. Do NOT settle for TSH only -- that's a pituitary hormone and doesn't give the full picture.
Under active thyroid can cause all of the symptoms you listed, including the high cholesterol, sleep issues, etc. My CRP was elevated because I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and my thyroid was inflamed at the time of the test.
Get the thyroid tests done first, and see where you're levels are; then post your results and the reference ranges, since these vary from lab to lab and must come from your own report. And even if the thyroid labs come out "in range", don't let anyone tell you that you can't have a thyroid issue.
If the thyroid results are "acceptable", not just "in range", then start looking elsewhere.
Hi I am not a doctor but I am a physical therapist. Your ESR and CRP results could indicate to rheumatoid arthritis with your ankle swelling.
I would go back to your physician.
You've had some tests done so I hope that means you are seeking the advice of a physician. A lot of your symptoms could mean several things. Have you had your blood sugars tested for diabetes? I had a lot of the same symptoms you had before finding out I had Type II.
I also gained a lot of weight so I have sleep apnea which also makes one feel the same way. You might search out a sleep specialist and see where you are at with that.
Your cholesterol seems high so I would certainly take a look at what you are eating. Your doctor can prescribe the right meds for high cholesterol too. I know you've probably heard this before, but a little exercise will go a long way to helping these symptoms too. Even a 10 minute walk will help.
Another area is Thyroid. I had a low output thyroid so that makes me sluggish and tired all the time too. But I've been on meds for this now for about 10 years and have that under control.
Good luck
