After having TT in July for goiter (normal labs) my libido jumped WAY up and I just turned 30.....it has slowed down a little now that I'm on meds but not much!! My husband said if he knew it would be like this we would have gotten the thing taken out years ago!!! Enjoy!!!
I know what you mean. It's hard to know what's just coming back to normal after being out of wack for so many years. But like said above, I'd maybe mention it at a next appt. My dr says that since the thyroid is about regulating things to a medium, let her know if anything seems too high or too low. From what I've learned, anything going on too much can pose a potential risk down the road to the organs. In the same way a heart beating too much would be an obvious risk.
Best wishes.
Thank God I'm not alone. BTW, I am on a very low dose thyroid; perhaps that is the key?
I had to laugh when I saw your post - I went back to Armour after years of doing Levoxyl and always having problems - my libido is back in a big way and I'm in the over 40 crowd - don't question the doctor - just thank him or her - enjoy!
You know this is exactly why I researched this forum. I'm searching now to figure out if it's me or if it's my thyroid. I'm Hyper...taking, Tapazole..needless to say, my doasage has been adjusted a few times, but there was a point in the last 6 months, that my drive was looooowwww, but I've been changed to a much lower dosage and it's risen alot, but now, I'd say the last two weeks, I've been working a different shift, and just all mixed up and I've forgotten my pill almost about 4 days in a row, but then I got myself back on track, but I'm such...a "horny" toad if I can say that..I just don't know what to do, and my husband has noticed this as well..
I am same as you except I am hyper. Some people here thought I was (in my words) crazy and making it up. Most people do have the opposite reaction, so I am glad I am not alone.
However, we might be the only two though, LOL!
And at my age, shame on me. ;)
Good luck and Happy Holidays -

I'm with craniac3 - I also want some of what you got!! As a matter of fact, my husband wants me to have some of what you got!!!
I want some of what you got!!!! LOL
It may be worth talking to your endo and your OB/GYN about. Thyroid hormones directly affect (and are affected by) estrogen and other hormones.
Most of us actually have the opposite reaction after going on thyroid meds.
