Gibbon, thank you for your reply. I can feel them when I swallow and sometimes I get sharp pains in my throat. I did have Graves disease in 1998 and had RAI, which made my thyroid hypo, I have taken Levothyroxine ever since.
I think the standard answer is, no way to know if nodules are cancer except by an FNA biopsy, or by pathology after removal. That's what I read from the AACE position paper on thyroid nodules.
I suspect 'circumcised nodule' and 'cystic changes' argue against, but aren't definitive, leaving you with the typical 90-95% chance your nodules are benign.
'Thyroid measurement's: Left 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.1 Right 5 x 2.2 x 2.2.'
Left lobe seems small, if it's 1,4 x 1,4 x1,1, unless that's a typo and it's 4 x1.4 x 1.1.
Taking your thyroid out wouldn't be something you want to do unless you have something like graves disease or mechanical symptoms because it's grown large. IE, pressing on other things in your neck.
