hashimoto's and solu Medrol

I have hashimoto's In aug 2006 my TSH was 48, my meds were changed to Armours 1gr and was retested in 8 weeks The TSH was 79
the Armours was increased to 3 grs and retested 8weeks TSH down to 5.75 but irregular heartbeats brought dose down to 2 grains with synthroid 50mcg added did ok but had days when I felt a little hyper I had a dental implant done and the dentist put me on antibiotics and a solu medrol dose pack since then I am hot at night jittery, anxious pulse rate up 10 points although Coreg was increased to 6.25 twice a day.  Has anyone had any difficulty with Solu medrol and Hashimoto's. I see the endo this wed but I am afraid to take the Armours and today only took the synthroid within 5 hours I was jittery and tense.
I feel like I am becoming a complainer and I am not sure what to do
Any suggestions

Change in heartbeat, nervousness or restlessness, and increased sweating are all side effects of the solu-Medrol.  While the last two are listed as being part of your body's adjustment period, the change in heartbeat is one of the indicators to call your dr.

The thyroid meds are probably affecting the way you metabolize the solu-Medrol.

Please let us know how you're doing. :)

Thank you for your answer and concerns
Do you have any idea how long the Solu Medrol effect last--I finished the dose pack  about 11 days ago--the only other change was I picked up my prescriptions for thryoid meds and the synthroid is generic  one other time I did not do as well on generic

You mentioned an adjustment phase please explain

solu-Medrol is a corticolsteroid (probably prescribed to reduce pain and inflammation from your implant).  Apparently there's an adjustment period to this kind of med, but couldn't find anymore information other than one was mentioned when you start the med and when you stop it.  But then it's a steroid and you'd kinda expect an adjustment period.

Corticosteroids cause the body to retain more salt and water. Your high blood pressure may be made worse by this extra water.  And with hypothyroidism, the body may not eliminate the corticosteroid at the usual rate, which may change the medicine's effect.  I couldn't find anymore details than this about it.

Something else to keep in mind:  your Coreg can raise or lower your blood sugar levels.  solu-Medrol can raise it.  Maybe it's possible the combination of the two could have made your blood sugar unstable?

I hope this helps some. :)
