I too have always had a pulse (resting) at 128-150. My doctor sent me for an EKG and they said I have Sinus Tachacardia. I was on 88mcg of Levoxyl and 25mcg of Cytomel. I lowered my Cytomel to 5mcg and my pulse has gone down to about 100. It did help me. I know it's scary but I agree with dellouise 80 that stress makes it worse. I was told that I have something called white coat syndrome so anytime I see a doctor, my pulse and blood pressure goes up. I wish you well!
I will try. I've been waiting for two weeks to see this doc. She came highly recommended. The whole group was too. They are all D.O.'s, not M.D.'s, which I like. It's very difficult to get quality care here and I don't want to be pushy and possibly get labeled as a hypochondriac, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks for taking the time to write back to me, I appreciate that.
Yes, the heart rate I mentioned is resting. As soon as I wake up in the a.m. I notice it's already accelerating. I'm up at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours every night and my heart is pounding then as well. The neausea and headaches kept me out of work 4 days last week. So fear of losing my job and/or having a stroke is probably making it worse. I would hate to go to the ER and find there's nothing that can be done, or waste any doctor's time. Thanks for taking the time to reply, that makes me feel a little better.
Is your resting heartrate(HR) 138? 70 to 90 bpm is considered 'normal'. My Dr said he'd medicate at 120. Fear is only going to accelerate your HR. You should trust your instinct and go to the Emergency Room for your own peace of mind.
I would see if I could see the Dr. sooner just tell them what’s going on they might be able to get you in sooner they might even tell you to go to the ER themselves if they can't get you in sooner.
