Thyroid Meds

what combination of synthroid meds do I need for 112 mcg.  I am allergic to the dye and/or fillers that are used by Abbott Mfgr.  I assum that I would need the white 50 mcg but how can the 50 be cut to represent 12 mcg.

How about trying Tirosint?  It's a new T4 med (out about a year ago) that's a gelcap; has no fillers, dye, etc.  Contains only levothyroxine, glycerine, gelatin, water.  It's basically hypoallergenic, more readily absorbed, etc...... Tirosint comes in a variety of strengths, including 112, I think........

I've been on it since Aug of last year and doing great with it........

If you can manage to split the 50 into quarters, and take one quarter plus two 50 mcg tablets, that would be close enough.  If the tablet doesn't split exactly, don't worry.  With a T4 med, it does not have to be exactly the same dose every day.
