Hi Laura I have been trying to take thyroid meds for over two years now and i am getting sicker my insurance is kaiser and they are not helpful; at all they just keep passing me from gyno to endo with no solutions to this over these two years i have ending up in the ER 7 times thought i was having heart attacks and even with this small amount of armour (15mg) i am still having heart issues.I did go to an alternative doctor and paid out of pocket for zrt tests he said my morning cortisol was very low i have been taking adreanal
supplements for a long time but no improvement.i have been taking the armour for only a week but feel terrible on it the endo keeps telling me my side affects are not due to the meds but they are. This internal shaking on a morning is far from normal i really dont know what it is it feels like i am lacking some hormone but which one i dont know.Have you ever heard of
anyone else with this problem? Its so bad i cannot hold a full time job.
Also the endo told me my free T4 and Free T3 were in normal range and only my tsh is high (tsh 25)free T3 2.86 Free T 4 1.18 TPO antibodys 87.
It very well could be your adrenals. Taking Armour with weak adrenals can cause a lot of side effects. If you look on thyroid medication information, it will tell you that any adrenal issues have to be dealt with first. I would suggest supporting and building up your adrenals anyway. A good B-complex taken twice a day, extra B12, good dosage of Vit C and an adrenal adaptogen will all help.
How long have you been on Armour in comparison with your labs above?
I was taking synthroid now the doctor switched me to Armour 15mg in the past i was on too much thyroid meds and it was affecting my heart.
Now for some reason i have internal shaking mostly when i wake up on a morning i am going through menopause so i dont know if its my unbalanced
hormones or adreanals also have pcos Athina
What are the ranges for the FT3 and FT4. These vary from lab to lab, so must come from your own report.
What medication(s) are you taking, at what dose(s) and for how long? If your ranges are close to what we normally see, you are still hypo.
What problems are you having taking thyroid meds?
What kind of problems are you having with the thyroid meds?
Hi Laura
TSH 24
Free T3 2.86
Free T4 1.18
What do you mean when you say you are having problems taking thyroid meds? Do you have your most recent lab results with ranges for your thyroid labs and female hormone panel?
