thyroid advice asap

hi all ,
Bit of a bizzare long question but would love some feed back. Recently had a six cm tumour and right side of my thyroid removed.
op was great and infact never felt better.
My energy levels have gone through the roof and I seem to find it difficult to sleep during the night. (odd to explain)
Skin , hair is brill again it was never bad but before I had tumour removed I had so many aches and pains too many to count.
Periods have been extremely heavy since before op but since op I havent had a period , dont feel pregnant or sick or any thing.
Any one else suffered like this , I am about three weeks late

How long ago was your surgery?  You should be having regular blood work done, to make sure that the remaining thyroid is producing adequately.

Ask your doctor for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4.

Have you had any thyroid tests performed, since your surgery?

You need to have TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 monitored regularly to be sure your left lobe can produce enough hormones.  If you've had labs done, please post the results here and be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to be posted with results.

Thyroid malfunction can affect your menstrual cycle.
