I saw both my surgeon and my endo yesterday and they both advised that the cancer was very small and stayed within my thyroid, so after I do the RAI, I have a 99 % chance of total recovery. Of course there is still the meds to deal with. But that sounds good.
It's been 15 days since surgery to remove the thyroid and so far I have had one narly day of being very tired and grouchy and I do have trouble sleeping a full night. I got exhausted when I went back to work, but I think I am feeling fairly decent most of the time. I get real trembly though. I feel like I have a little earthquake going on in my body all the time. I had my blood retested yesterday, but have yet to get the results. How long does it take for your TSH to get to between 30 and 50. Thats when they will do the RAI. I'm ready to move on. : )
